How To Write a Bold Christmas List

How to Write a Bold Christmas List

This year, don’t settle for a wish list filled with socks and gadgets. It’s time to create a bold Christmas list—one rooted in faith, filled with purpose, and aligned with God’s promises.

God wants to do more than meet your needs. He wants to exceed your expectations. Jesus said, “Ask, and it will be given to you” (Matthew 7:7, NKJV). But what if you asked for more than material things? What if you believed for the miraculous?

Let’s break down how to build a Christmas list that’s fueled by faith and destined for divine results.

1. Seek God First—He’ll Add Everything Else

The first key to creating a bold Christmas list is putting God first. When your priorities align with His Kingdom, provision follows.

Gloria Copeland lived this out. During a season of lack, she read Matthew 6:33 and made a powerful declaration: “God, take my life and do something with it.” That choice sparked a lifelong transformation.

You can position yourself the same way by:

  • Spending time in the Word
  • Praying over decisions for God’s guidance
  • Tithing consistently
  • Walking in forgiveness
  • Obeying His promptings

When you purpose to put God and His ways, first, He’s able to protect, guide and bless you like He wants. This principle sets the foundation for your list.

2. Ask Boldly—God Is Listening

Don’t be afraid to ask. A bold Christmas list starts with bold faith.

God wants to hear from you. Scriptures like John 16:24, Psalm 5:3, and Jeremiah 33:3 confirm that He listens when you call. James 4:3 reminds us to check our motives, ensuring our requests flow from faith, not selfishness.

Psalm 37:4 says, “Take delight in the LORD, and He will give you your heart’s desires.” When you delight in God, your desires begin to reflect His will—and He’s eager to respond.

3. Stay Persistent—Faith Gets Heaven’s Attention

Jesus told a story in Luke 11 about a man who kept knocking until his friend opened the door. Why? Even a tired and uncooperative neighbour can be persuaded by a person’s persistence into giving him what he needs. How much more will our loving Father, provide for His children. Christians do not have to beg from a God who is unwilling to give.

When you stay persistent in faith, unmoved by what it looks like in the natural, you’re activating your covenant. Persistent faith accesses God’s power and takes hold of what He’s promised.

If it’s on your Christmas list and rooted in Scripture, don’t give up. Let the confidence of your relationship with the Father, empower your faith to receive everything on your list.

4. Turn Your List Into Prayer

Writing a bold Christmas list is powerful—but praying over it is even more powerful. Turn each item into a faith-filled prayer supported by Scripture and watered with thanksgiving.

Stand on Psalm 138:8—“The LORD will perfect that which concerns me.” Your desires matter to God, and His Word guarantees results when you pray in faith.

5. Make a List That Changes Your Life

This isn’t about tradition—it’s about transformation. A bold Christmas list doesn’t end on December 25. It sets the tone for your faith walk in the year ahead.

When you seek God, ask with confidence, and stand on His Word, you build a list that Heaven responds to.
