5 Truths about the Favour of God
What would your life be like if the favour of God surrounded you each and every day? Would you experience more grace? More happiness? More success? Would the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) be more evident in your life? If you want to experience more of the favour of God, then embrace these five truths:

Truth #1: God’s Favour is God’s grace.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” –Ephesians 2:8, NKJV
God’s favour, aka God’s grace, is the reason you are saved. You are saved by His favour.

Truth #2: God’s favour affects every area of life.
“So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.” –Ephesians 2:7
God’s favour has taken care of everything you will ever need—spirit, soul and body. Every part of your life is impacted by the grace and favour of God. This doesn’t just mean you are going to heaven. It means you are delivered, protected, preserved, healed and made whole.

Truth #3: God began showing you His favour even before you were born again.
“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” –Romans 5:8
Salvation is the greatest expression of God’s favour, and it was made available to you even when you were still lost. Being born again was just the starting place for His favour to pour out. And He will pour out grace and more favour to you every moment of your life if you’ll receive it!

Truth #4: God’s favour surrounds you continually.
“For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favour You will surround him as with a shield.” –Psalm 5:12, NKJV
As a born-again child of God, you have been made righteous by Jesus and that righteousness came with the favour of God, which surrounds you constantly!

Truth #5: You must realise and accept God’s favour to experience it fully.
“May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvellous glory and excellence.” –2 Peter 1:2-3
Before you can receive the benefits of God’s favour, you must know that they are yours. Just as with every other spiritual benefit, you must receive them by faith.
If you desire to have God’s favour evident in your life, then begin to study and contemplate these truths. Understand that God’s favour—His grace—was available to you even before you were His. And now, since you are a child of God, His favour toward you has grown. It touches every area of your life and surrounds you continually. All you have to do is accept it by faith. The favour of God is yours—now and forever.
