30 Scriptures About Calling Things That Be Not

This is your moment. The time to call things that be not as though they were. Not tomorrow, not when things look better – NOW. You’ve been standing and believing, maybe for a long time. But if you haven’t seen your manifestation, the hard truth is that the problem isn’t on God’s end of the equation – it’s on yours.

We’ve all been there. And it is a fight to get to the other side. That’s why it’s called the fight of faith! There are many things you can do to be sure you’re perfectly aligned for your blessing. (See Why You Don’t Have What You Desire Most and 3 Things to Do When You Feel Stuck . ) But one important step you must take is that which Abraham took to move his promise into manifestation. That step is calling things that be not as though they were.

To get you started toward victory, here are 30 scriptures* about calling things that be not you can use to build your faith for speaking and claiming the promises of God in your life!

*All scriptures are from the English Standard Version.

  1. Genesis 15:6

“And he believed the LORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness.”

  2. Genesis 17:5

“No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.”

  3. Joshua 1:8

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

  4. Proverbs 4:20-22

  6. Mark 11:23

  7. Mark 11:24

  9. Luke 10:19

  10. Romans 4:1-5

“What then shall we say was gained by Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? ‘Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.’ Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness.”

  11. Romans 4:16

“That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring – not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.”

  12. Romans 4:17

“As it is written, ‘I have made you the father of many nations’ – in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist.”

“In hope he believed against hope, that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told, ‘So shall your offspring be.’”

  24. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

  29. Hebrews 11:6

“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
