The pressure to give up is in the mind. That’s where the decision to quit or not is made. The mind receives its input to quit from feelings like pain, etc., in the physical body. Mental pain from financial pressure and family problems, causing depression, are very real. I know. I’ve been there. None of those, however, are valid reasons for a born-again child of the living God to cave in and quit.
