Dean Sikes is on a mission to reach young people who are battling hopelessness, depression, and even suicidal thoughts. Through his message of hope, Sikes reminds youths that their lives have purpose, value, and significance in God’s eyes. He founded You Matter Ministries in 1993 and now travels the world visiting schools, juvenile detention centers and churches. Sikes shares testimonies and truths that connect deeply with teenagers, helping them find hope and healing through faith in Jesus.
You Matter Ministries carries the powerful message that no life is too far gone. Sikes focuses on empowering young people to step away from destructive paths. He teaches them to embrace the truth that God has a plan for their future. His efforts have saved countless lives, offering an alternative to the despair many teenagers face. His ministry is a lifeline for those who feel lost, emphasizing their worth in Christ.
Sowing Hope into The Future
Jesus made it clear how valuable children are in the kingdom of God. In Matthew 19:14 (NIV), He said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” This verse underlines the importance of investing in the spiritual growth and well-being of children. When ministries like KCM and You Matter Ministries come together to focus on the next generation, they are fulfilling a critical mission in God’s plan.
Supporting youth ministries is not only about helping individuals—it’s about shaping the future of the Church and society. Psalm 127:3 (NIV) tells us, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” By investing in the next generation, we are aligning with God’s heart and His vision for the world.
Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV) also emphasizes this principle: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Sowing into the lives of children ensures they have a firm foundation in faith, which will guide them throughout their lives. Ministries that focus on youth, such as “You Matter,” are planting seeds that will bear fruit for generations to come.
Where You Sow; You Go!
At Kenneth Copeland Ministries, we sow into You Matter Ministries as a twice-sown seed. We sow a seed on behalf of our covenant partners expecting multiplication – expecting the harvest to be full and bountiful. The seed is sown into another ministry’s work, and the results of that work are seen as a shared harvest between both ministries.
The principle of the twice-sown seed is illustrated in 2 Corinthians 9:10, where Paul writes, “Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness” (NKJV). Our Partners “go” where they sow and they too can expect a multiplication from every seed sown.
The partnership between Kenneth Copeland Ministries and Dean Sikes’ You Matter Ministries is a beautiful example of this. Through the concept of twice-sown seed, God multiplied every gift. We felt its impact in the lives of countless young people. Together, we are sowing seeds of hope, purpose, and faith into the lives of children who will carry the message of Christ into the future.
